Overview

The Flashvalley ticker component is ideal for creating scrolling news or scrolling text. The scrolling can be vertical or horizontal. The data is loaded from a local or remote XML file. The look, feel and functionalities of the ticker can be entirely customized through the component inspector panel.

Just 5KB
With no font embedded the component is less than 3KB in size, even with embedded font it won't get much bigger than 10-15kb (depending on your embedding choices).

Easy to use, just drag and drop
The component just needs to be dropped on the stage, no coding required.

The ticker component is entirely customizable, everything can be changed : size of the ticker, colors, font type, font size, padding...etc

Pixel fonts ready
You can display your data using pixel fonts for a smart and clean display.

You can embed your own font to be sure it will display exactly as you want it to for every user.

Add movie clips and pictures easily
You can add movie clips (animated or not) and pictures in your news.

Simple XML structure
The structure of the XML data feed is very simple, all fields are optional

Call actionscript functions from the XML
When a user click on a news item you can decide what will happen, you can open the link in a new window or call an actionscript function that will handle the click.
